you're right osu. he literally did NOTHING. a random drill every now and then . . . just to see if he still had it; that's about it.

don't be so literal. mike pucillo takes care of business . . . and relaxing and being "multi-dimensional" is part of his success plan - it's definetely worked so far. i guarantee, he won't disappoint this season.

why dident he at least lift during the offseason. Lifting should be done year round in my opinion

i bet mikey didn't take his medication this day : P

. . . as far as him not doing 'anything' in the off season: that's always been his m.o. seems like it's been working. IF IT AIN'T BROKE, DON'T FIX IT!!!!

He is pretty much referring to guys that live, eat, and everything in life is about wrestling. He has a point because there is a lot more to life than just wrestling, like doing well in school and being a good role model to younger wrestlers. Not knocking on Metcalf or anyone else from Iowa on their wrestling talents, but their character seems a bit on the crazy side. For example, Metcalf refers to himself in the third person and acts like an ass. As a former college wrestler, training in the off season needs to be kept somewhat mild. Your body needs time to heal from a very long season and its very easy to get burned out when the actually season begins.... your not wrestling high school anymore.

Can someone explain what eating rocks and head butting scoreboards is all about. Is this a reference to psychos? Tom Ryan is a former Iowa guy, do you think he has this mentality? I am so confused. Can some body help me? This guy is anything but this, he is like the polar opposite of that, will he win again this year? He has never really trained in the off season, he admits it, how is he so good? His weight is comparable to 149 last year, himself and Herbert return, and Keddy, Smith, Jordan, Todd, Jensen, it's SICK!

yeah 5 years ago

u dont wanna get burned out, especially in college

Pucillo never over exerts himself in the summer.... he did the samething last summer too and won a national championship... im sure he will be fine.

I agree. I know that Phil Keddy has been working his ass off, and he lost to pucillo by one.
