The Minnesota Golden Gophers and the Iowa Hawkeyes in the first round of the Final Four. The two teams met in January and it was Iowa coming out on top in that dual meet, winning some key matches at 157 and 165. Here are the highlights from that dual meet with the winner slated to wrestle the winner of Oklahoma State vs Illinois.

I agree...let's get the pushout rule for folkstyle. I must admit, when it came to freestyle, I thought that it sucked...that it made freestyle like sumo. But the more I watched, the more I realized that it's a very good rule. It has actually made freestyle more interesting to watch than folkstyle. |

Points for push outs in folkstyle would be great. You might even get non wrestling fans interested in it since it would lead to more throwing and less balance beam gymnastics. Watching guys do splits at the edge of the mat is not very exciting, or manly. |

mike your right heavyweight is very boring because its pretty much two fat guys pushing each other and due to massive weight, they cant finish shots. HOWEVER, if the freestlye/greco pushout rule was added to folkstyle that would definitly make not only heavyweight but all weight classes more exciting as it activitly awards you for being aggresive and more importantly it would give heavyweights an easier way to put points on the scoreboard. |
