Where was Delgado's first stall warning? McD got a warning on bottom but I never saw Delgado's 1st warning to even merit the BS (IMO) call at the end of the match? Maybe I missed it. Plus the caution on top made by the other ref was bad as I saw Delgado time the whistle perfectly. Glad to see him win b/c he won it on the mat despite the poor officials. |

You can see the ref looking at the clock before giving the stalling call, which seemed to be his cue. He just wanted to keep the match going. "Clock watching" shouldn't have an effect on making a stalling call. The ref was basically saying, "Hmmm...I'd like to give this kid a chance, and there are only 5 seconds left. McDonough got the chance, but Delgado was just too good. |

Great match. Gosh, those California kids are like lightening bolts on their feet. No wonder so many Cali guys end up doing so well in Freestyle (Mark Schultz, Dave Schultz, Jake Varner, etc). They are defintately tops in the country on their feet -- not on bottom, though. McDonough never even got to Delgado legs. Akl of his points were either defensive or escapes. Delgado shot more, was way more aggressive and quick, which is strange considering Iowa is known for that. But Delgado was just so much slicker on his feet (they were probably even on the mat). The stall call at the end was bogus. It's one call in folkstyle that is just stupid -- too subjective and haphazard. Should institute pushout like freestyle. |

At 8:38 Delgado has both of McD 's leg with Delado's head by McD's waist. The ref stops the match at 8:55 and he is around the ankle and his head is basically in the same spot and he barely moved during this time. I mean how much more time does he need to move up. Delgado is clearly stalling. Read the rule book its rule 5.10.3. |

IOwa got a homer stall call to end regulation with :4-6 seconds to go? Kid was basically in a navy ride moving up the body. He deserved to win. Not sure how hawkeye fans can play the out of shape card. Numerous unneeded breaks in that bout to get your wind back. Good win but will probably get majored next time |
