OK state does have the most team national titles. mcdonough is very tough but i think that precin controlled him that match. ive never seen mcdonough wrestle like that, he just seemed totally out of his environment. haha also that reporter at the end, i cant believe he asked him when the last time he lost! you could tell matt was upset and didnt even want to think about another loss

I think we're too hard on some of these kids being interviewed. It is just a personality thing. They are not trained to be entertainers. Not everyone is like Herbert or Askren. Also, Mike Za has colorful interviews and he's a Hawk. Mark Perry has voice inflection and he's a Hawk. People are different.

Dude are you dumb? They aren't talking about this tournament, they are talking about the most successful wrestling school ever. I am not even a Hawkeye fan, and am amazed by just how much success they have year in year out.

Actually, I think OK State is the most successful wrestling school ever. They've got like 34 National Titles or something stupid! Anyways...I'm a Hawk fan too, and they sound the same because they believe in the same things...listening to their coach...AND WINNING!

Enough with the robot comments. Maybe more of you should take some tips on how brands coaches his kids. They win and produce championships! You hear so many of their interviews bc they are the best and are coached by the best, so whine about something else.

Of course he sounds like Metcalf, all the Iowa guys sound the same, they focus on what they can control and not about what the other guy is doing. Brands instills this in all the Iowa kids, why is it a suprise? Its the same crap year after year, the robot comments are stupid. They are all Brands robots, that is why they wrestle for him. They believe in what he tells them and they "robotically" win national titles.

I know these kids are individuals but . . . I feel like I was listening to Metcalf . . . and looking into his eyes, like those of a robot . . . not taking anything away from him -- obviously a quality human being, and a hard-working, motivated, earnest young man.
