Kokesh deserves more attention but is leagues behind Taylor. He has absolutely no chance of keeping to match to a decision, and he will have to wrestle all out to avoid being teched.Kokesh isnt lighting up the scoreboards hes just a solid #3-7 in a weak weight class
ok. No disrespect to DT or Cody, but there is no way Cody should have gotten maulled like that. If he were at Iowa, Brands would probably give his spot to a young freshman who is willing to fight with everything in him. Congrats to DT because he is growing into a more aggressive wrestler who will not be denied. Still, I hope the Minnesota coaches will reprimand Cody for this poor performance and force him to fight like nobody's business. Cody is capable of far better, even against the #1 seed.
Sounds like Caldwell will go 165 next year. DT has already indicated he sees himself at 174 at some point. Howe is the odd man out, having to decide if he can beat Calwell or be an undersized 174 facing a filled-out freakish Ed Ruth-clone Taylor. People forget (or don't know) that DT is a champion horse rider, from an early age. Jeff Jordan once told me that he had his kids doing so many pull-ups and push-ups that by the time they got to college they would have done over a million reps of each. No one would be able to catch up to them. Well, David has been clamping down and holding on to huge animals and steering them where he wants them to go for a long time. I think someone can catch him once in a while but they can't stay with him for long. I think Caldwell would be a bigger threat to Taylor than Howe.
When he pins you, you have to fight off the urge to thank him, he simply is the most amazing wrestler alive....
