JD talks about learning from his 1-1 tournament and what he needs to do to move forward then onto 2011 and then 2012 in London. JD feels we need to increase our concentration on Freestyle and explains why folkstyle is king in the USA and the NCAA's.

JD hit it smash on the head making the statement regarding athletes thinking, "How little can I do to get my hand raised...Can I be a "normal" college student enjoying all the partying, etc...and still be a championship level wrestler bc I am talented." Sadly, this is beyond true to not only wrestlers but most athletes and most American workers in general. I have coached people like this, I work with people like this, I am surrounded by people like this. America has become soft always seeking shortcuts.

Also, why didn't the coaches sit Paulson who had a severe injury prior to the competition and allow the healthy alternate (Andy Howe) to compete in his place? Sometimes, the coaches have to make brutally tough decisions and this is one case where I would put the blame on the coaches if, I am assuming, they were aware of the severity of Paulson's knee injury.
