Nasty final at 112 lbs durning the Junior Freestyle National Championships in Fargo North Dakota. Side note, Freddie Rodriguez was the junior greco champ at 105 lbs.
Rodriguez stayed heavy on that head. Thats how he broke Silver. If you don't agree ya may want to watch that again.
Conditioning won that match. Rodriguez had the technique in the last 2 periods and Silver couldn't stop anything. Very impressive for giving up 7 lbs.
WOW! I watched Silver quite a bit this past season and in my mind he was without a question the best 112 in the nation. My first exposure to Rodriguez was at Flonationals where he blew me away with his talent. He is one of the most physical wrestlers in the nation at any weight. Along with Morgan McIntosh one of the best returning high school wrestlers in the nation. This was a huge win. (On a side note this does make Dean Heil's win over Rodriguez look pretty impressive)
