Highlights from the epic dual meet between #1 ranked Iowa and #2 ranked Oklahoma State. The Iowa Hawkeyes were on an 84 match unbeaten streak which tied a record held by Oklahoma State, who was the last team to beat Iowa on Jan. 5, 2008.

nc92: Of course Oliver won't lose another match this year. His team doesn't have a conference any more and with all the good wrestlers in their conference seasons now, the best guy he has left on the schedule is McCormick from Mizzou and he is rated #10. What a cupcake schedule! |

NC92--- I am a big Oliver fan, but must take exception to your comment about Oliver wrestling like Dake at the national tournament. Dake has hammered opponents at 2 national tournaments, looking unstoppable last year. Oliver also had a real nice tournament last year. The year before (2010) Dake was the champ as a true freshman, while Oliver had a disappointing tournament and looked very tired and defensive. Both really good wrestlers, but Dake has really outshone him in national tournament competition (if you care to make the comparison). |

Gambrall

When Gambrall got the concussion he wasn't allowed to work out, never mind wrestle. He got up to around 210 pounds. Since Iowa didnt have a 197 guy, he decided to stay there and let someone else fill 184. You are right about his chances at 197 and he is the reason why Iowa dropped in the tournament rankings. If he doesnt get significant NCAA tourney points, Penn St. will take the title again. |

can anybody tell me why gambrall isnt going down to 184, he wont even make the national tournament at 197. He is hurting himself and the team wrestling 197. |

Ramos clearly won this match, but almost had it stolen from him. His takedown gave him a 3-1 lead and Oliver had 1:08 riding time. Watch the replay, it took Oliver :10 to escape so it should have been 3-2 with no riding time. The riding clock had gone backwards, so they had to stop the match and fix it. They re-set the riding clock to :59. John Smith went bonkers at the scoretable while Tom Brands was calm, cool, and composed. Smith got them to put 1:02 riding time on the clock. I have no idea how they came up with that! That was cheap and the match never should have gone to overtime. |

Jls..big 10 network owns the rights. It's such a drag, but man, these highlights are incredible. The noise during Ramos/Oliver is incredible. We all thought Oliver was going undefeated! |
