Frankie Edgar talks about his role at Rutgers as a volunteer coach and how he has seen the program move forward under the coaching of Scott Goodale and Jon Leonardis.

Edgar wrestled at Toms River High School East, making it to the New Jersey state championship tournament on two occasions. He continued wrestling at Clarion University of Pennsylvania, where he qualified for the nationals all four years there.[1] Edgar is also an assistant coach for the Rutgers University wrestling team.[2]
He is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu purple belt. In 2010 he shocked the mma world when he beat longtime UFC lightweight Champ BJ Penn and earned the title.
