During the Texas girls state finals there was a quick call on a takedown, how would you have scored this?

Not a TD... not even close.I don't even have problem with the official calling a TD, as I'm sure he was trying to signal the TD as soon as possible, but it is abundantly clear that neither contol or 'beyond reaction time' was NEVER met... and the TD should have been IMEDIATLY waved off.... The longer he waits to wave this off.. the BIGGER the mistake becomes.

Points are to be given based on control, she did not establish control over her opponent,. It is possible to have control without the ankle there and get points, however if she does not establish clear control, she should not be awarded the takedown.

Agree with "understandable to have awarded the two initially but definitely had to be waved off immediately after"...no takedown!

No takedown....girl with the mask on.....she's wrestling with a mask on=awesome, doesn't score the takedown as she steps over, but doesn't gain control, they continue scrambling and it looks as if it will have gone to a stalemate. We got CA girls wrestling too, just had my first girl attend state. Such a fun movement to be a part of and I can't wait to get 2 more girls on the club next yr, from 6 to 7 next season! awesome!
