I checked the rankings Zane dropped to 5th after his loss.

@ tt no disrespect to either wrestler but at what point of the match did zane kill wilkes? It looked like zane shut down in OT and was stopped in all of his takedown attempts.

zane killed him...needs bigger mat and it's a major or worse. good defense by wilkes though, he's a good high school wrestler. not college material yet, however.
"Not college material yet?" Are you kidding? Wilkes is a great wrestler. The kid won USA Folkstyle Nationals, defeated #1 in the nation and he's not college material yet!! Zane is a superior wrestler and justly ranked at number 1. I have been in his practice room in Carbondale as he practiced with my son this summer. Therefore, I have seen him close up. You don't go into OT with Zane and not be ready to wrestle at the D1 level.

the only "killing" that happened was at 8:56 in the video.

It is stalling in high school, when you wrestle the line. they need to adopted the college out of bounds rule!

Great match. Richards took more chances and Wilkes wrestled defensively; however I didn't see any stalling. Outstanding shot defense by wilkes. 5:11 was the closest richards came to finishing. Maybe we'll see them wrestle again at USA Nationals or Fargo.

Great Coverge.
