It is obvious so many people want to see Smith go down, but this wasn't even Smith at his best and he pulled off a win in a weight class above his. running out the clock is a thinkng mans tool when ahead. History proves that surely he Joel was not hisself this night.

This is a perfect example why GA officials are thought of as the worst in the country. Smith is a great wrestler, but this was terrible officiating. The referee alllowed him to stall his way to a cheap win. I understand he did wrestle up a class, but still no excuse to let him stall the entire match. I hope this official isn't officiating your guys state tournament. He should not be allowed to to officiate higher than MS level. I will assume he is considered one of Ga's better officials, seeing as he was officiating this spotlight dual. If that is the case, then the terrible reputation Ga has is well deserved.

Agreed that Joel should have been hit for stalling in the end, deff not a good match of him but he did bump up in order to wrestle glass

Holy crap those REFS SUCK! That guy should have been DQ'd on stalling calls. Glass completely outwrestled him...so much for 12th or whatever he is ranked in the country...Glass is only a soph.
