I was one of the 2.5 million at the Fargo dome when Eggum hit this move for 17 points against the kid from Guam. He was down 16 points with 3 seconds left and he hit the roll. Fans stormed the mat and drenched him in champagne. The kid from Guam was killed, bar-b-cued, and sold at the concession stand. I thought that killing the kid was a bit much, but I did buy 2 plates of bar-b-cue. It was delicious.
I remember that too...like it was yesterday. Pretty surreal stuff, especially when people were throwing egg rolls on the mat in anticipation of the move.

Described step by step with a nice little huma weapon video...

It is a modified judo technique, but it is not an armbar. It is called the "british strangle." As the name implies, it is a choking technique.

It's the bomb yo!!!! 3 years ago

hAHA It is a real move. Nice!

It's a basic judo technique for setting up an arm-bar. "egg roll is for real," I think you are confusing some terminology with some other web sites you freaquent.

Egg Roll is for real! 3 years ago

Most people have already seen the eggroll. It goes by different names in different parts of the country. In San Fransisco it's called the Rusty Trombone.
In New York it's called the sausage press. In Ohio it's called the Cleveland Steamer. In the south it's called the Dirty Sanchez.
No matter what the name, the eggroll will leave your opponent bruised and battered inside and out!
