just look at what an a$$inine statement you just made. A junior in high school just beat a highly decorated (and hyped) freshmen in college under Cael's tutelage, and you say to 'shut our mouths' about the potential?? what am I missing here??

Ed Ruth, who was a multi-time national champion before training for a year under one of the undisputed legends of American wrestling in Cael Sanderson....loses to a 16yr old kid who has common high school coaches from a state that is allegedly a third tier state at best (right?). But....for some reason.....he has ......umm......less potential?
isn't McIntosh 2-3 yrs behind where Ruth is in age, but, evidenced by his performance, equal in ability? I mean, he won last, right?
but he's not better?
I don't understand. maybe he was lucky? or is freestyle wrestling not a good litmus test of 'wrestling' ability? anyone?

Better than McIntosh at folk style. McIntosh took him down like twice probably between both matches. I don't see him beating Ruth in folk style. McIntosh is a phenomenal wrestler for only being a junior and coming back to beat Ruth for third place BUT! to say that he has more potential than Ruth and that McIntosh will beat him in college. I think we all should just shut our mouths and wait to see ;)

BOTH ARE NASTY. ed ruth beat him in takesdowns..in folkstyle im going with ruth. but no dissrespect to Morgan. he's a stud.

all you s talking about morgan id love to see you do nearly as good as he did and win a match against a div 1 wrestler in college when your in high school. he has true talent and when he gets into the ncaa's hell beat ruth.

thats funny you say that because mcintosh didnt cut weight either. he went 189s this year and weighed mayyybe 195 on a good day. like thanksgiving

ruth was dominant on the mat. bar arms and hand control all day. all that saved MM was ruth running out of time and getting set back to neutral.
in folkstyle that wouldn't be a problem. and who says ruth lacks technique, he controls ties, uses misdirection and exceptional matwork.
he's simply not a fastpaced wrestler. he tries to scoot by on very little work in his matches and that didn't cut it here. i'm glad the wrestler that wanted it more won here. ruth only worked early in the match and when he needed points.

MM wouldnt win in a folkstyle match

you talk about how ruth should have won the first period. maybe he should have, there were questionable calls. but what happened in the second period? morgan has more potential than ruth, considering how he has constantly improved whereas ruth has always relied on his athleticism while slightly improving his technique, which is expected when you transition from hs to college

whether ruth can wrestle freestyle or not...he still lost to a high schooler, who just started wrestling again in febuary after being put out for 5 months...congrats. i hope mcintosh goes to penn state and beats out wright and ruth.

well ill be watching his college career. i saw the penn state roster and it says he's a red this year. so he'll be wrestling next year at 174 or 184 i guess it depends where Quentin goes.
