All Assistant and head coaches should have to listen to this interview this kid is way ahead of his time and he is going to be and is already a great coach USA Wrestling spends hours trying to get coaches to establish a philosophy and Matt is spot on. All you need to do is show this video and kids will Flock to Missouri. The life lessons he speaks ---of there is so much more to coaching than wins and losses Coach Smith I am certain you realize what I gift he is to your room! and what a great fatther you will Be Matt!

Kudos to Coach Pell and his journey. I was wrestling around his weight in college at the same time and watched him. I myself am a young coach at Wayland Baptist University, which is the only school in Texas have not only men's, but women's wrestling teams.

I think Pell is a good coach because he is a beast of a wreslter and stays in great shape as a coach. Must help to have a gorilla like him in the room!!!

Great interview. He was in my weight class in college and I always wanted to wrestle him. Probably lucky I never did. He seems like a pretty good guy. Plus, he has awesome taste in music!

I agree.
All coaches have a philosophy and a goal. But the best one are willing to look at different paths as needed to reach those goals while staying true to their philosophy.
