not saying this guy's road hasn't been tougher than most. however, you're putting his opponents at a disadvantage because of his disability. You take away an offensive option by not having a leg. You give him a disproportionate upper body advantage because he doesn't have to account for a leg when it comes to weight gain/loss. he is an inspiration, yet his place isn't in a national title in a weight class that he's over-sized for. |

i mean yea its cool for a dude with one leg to be good. but u have to admit it is a little unfair for the other wrestlers in his weight because of his strength. it kinda makes me wonder if he is beating these guys by strength or by technique. if its by strength that means he isnt better than is opponents |

this guy is a joke...its unfair for his opponents that wrestle him...you cant grab his leg...he has the body of 57 pounder...its ridiculous...he shouldnt be able to wrestleRobles is a great role model for many reasons. He is the real deal! Life is not fair......He didn't ask for this. You must play the hand that you were delt and make the most of it. That's what Mr. Robles has done. And I must add he is amazing. My son is an amputee too, and the statement that you made is ridiculous. My son is also a great wrestler and people like you make us try harder and go over and beond. Thanks for giving us a charge. One motivate Mother of an Amputee |

Wow. This young man blew me away watching him for the first time at this year's nationals. Set aside his disability he's one heck of a grappler and if that dosen't move you, just listen to him interviewed. He's not only impressive on the mat but off as well. This sport needs more class acts like Mr. Robles. I hope to see him win one next year or the year after. What a sophmore. Congrats to the Az team and coaches who gave this young man a shot! |

Anyone who thinks this kid is a joke or whatever really needs to think first. This is one of the hardest, possibly the hardest, sport there is....and this kid is going at it with a disability. Yes, he has a major strength advantage, but in this sport strength isn't everything. That's been proven over and over again. Yes, they cannot shoot on him, but what's the difference if an able body person gets down on a knee and wrestles? This kid is a studd just for making it this far in this sport, and unless you are a disabled wrestler and you have had to overcome the same obstacles this guy has, don't talk bad about him cuz you have no idea what you are talking about. If you haven't experienced it for yourself, then don't judge it. It just makes you look stupid. |
