y dont u a$$holes wrestle with one leg and become NCAA AA

Advantage? I'm sure he intentionally chopped that leg off, so he could make 125.

Geez, tough crowd. This guy is a stud.

Anthony, you are a stud. keep up your hard work and humility. ignore the haters, you deserve everything you have earned.

sounds like your jealous of someone who has turned a negative into a positive. Must not have done much with your own life.

Seriously? 4 years ago

The only requirement for wrestling in the 125 lb. weight class is weighing 125.0 lbs. or less. "OMG he's stronger than other people." So every wrestler that has a strength advantage shouldn't be allowed to wrestle. Granted, it may be more difficult to secure a takedown on him, but don't you think it's more difficult for him to secure a takedown in certain situations?

Joe Delia - he's easy to root against ... he should not be competing in the 125lbs class -- has the upper body of a 157lber and a SIGNIFICANT adavantage in that normal counters can't be done against him. He's a"gimick" wrestler ...
Wheel chair racers aren't permitted to compete against normal runners -- same thing here -- he should not be allowed to compete aganist anyone other that one legged wrestlers. Shame on the NCAA!
you are a jack ass dude

If he can't wrestling in the olympics why should he be able to wrestle in the NCAA?

You think he has a huge upper body? My sopre year of high school I had to wrestle a kid named Trevon Jenifer in the first round at the MD State Tournament. Jenifer had no legs--completely cut off at the waist--so he was equivalent to wrestling a 180 pounder. He was absolutely jacked and had hand 3 times the size of mine. As soon as he got a good grip, you were toast. For us scrawny 103 pounders, it was like wrestling a grown man and it was very intimidating. He went on to place 3rd only losing to the eventual champion.

The way I see it is that he was able to turn his disadvantage into an advantage. At the time I wrestled him I thought it was completely unfair. He has formulated his own style to the betterment of his abilities, while his opponents had most likely never encountered anything like him. But, looking back now, I have to commend Jenifer for his courageousness to go out and prove the naysayers wrong. He proved that anything is possible if you put your mind to it.

i think robles definitely has an advantage.. his upper body strength is absolutely ridiculous in comparison with other 125ers. on bottom he doesnt have to worry about leg riders however i do feel that he has an insurmountable amount of heart and does deserve to compete with normal people. in addition i agree with martin because wrestling is all about using the advantages you have to out smart or outmatch your opponent

if you dont think its an advantage then you dont watch wrestling.. there are so many positions where if you dont wrap up both legs you wont get the take down, or putting a leg in on top but there isnt anything on the other side to resist and make it work.. he does have an advantage and i think there should be a rule in place of it to level the field... technically he cant even compete in the olympics

greta kid..very humble.Nice to have this kind of attitude in college wrestling

aww anthony ur so cute

Are you serious, having only one leg is an advantage, you must be on crack. I am sure Anthony got to where he is by putting in the time and work to be great. Wow

Martin Floreani 4 years ago

an advantage? He uses what he has..that is what wrestling is about. Everyone has advantages like if your long and lankey, its your reach, if your short and strong its your explosion, if your fast it is your speed. Everyone has advantages and disadvantages

and pretty hard to take down because he only has one leg. Kind of unfair i think. Whats the rule for a takedown? in the sport of wrestling he is kind of at an advantage seeing how he is bigger than metcalf in the upper body but wrestling 125....
