Mac, you are 100% correct. His confidence is amazing. Rare athlete that has that type of self-control. Plus, he beat some pretty good wrestlers.

askren has complete mind control I have never seen anybody like him there isn't a nervous bone in his body.I don't think he has reached his potential yet.Watch out he is only 23 Missouri University is proud of him.

i hate how the media and critics keeping responding and criticizing his "iness". in my opinion, (and for the record, i am no wrestling expert, 4 yr varsity high school wrestler, thats it) his iness isn't a reflection of his character and personality. it is a reflection of his confidence. the way i see it, you could either walk on a wrestling mat thinking "well, i hope i do ok" or you can be like askren and be thinking "there is not a chance this guy can beat me". its all about mental toughness, something he knows more about then probably anyone anywhere. i've never met him personally, although i lived in wisconsin so i saw him wrestle in high school, so i can't say what his personality really is or what kind of person he really is. but as far as his reported arrogance and y attitude, its not iness, its confidence and his determination to win. and besides, he has backed up practically everything he has said.

Askren, would do more for USA wrestling than any other person right now if he wins a gold, because he is so entertaining in interviews...the m market would see him and see how fun and great wrestling is.

The perfect Cael is done, 1 and out. Askren is just getting rapmed up. He improves more and more every day, faster than anyone I've ever seen. If he sticks with wrestling, he will be the best this country has ever had. Nobody in America can touch him, and at 23, he's ready for the world. Keep hatin' Hater. Your jealousy makes me chuckle. I feel for the rest of you. Watching Askren destroy all your beloved wrestlers with the greatest of ease must be hard to watch. I can't wait to hear what mindless babble you come up with next.
