Ok Mr. 125beast. "bandwagon after he wins the gold," eh? Well maybe you should jump off the bandwagon and cut the mentality talk...Askren got squashed in the Olympics. On the international level he's not so hot. Maybe he will be in a few years...but he needs to stop the Disneyland talk about winning. Saitiev often shows low self-esteem in interviews, and even appears mentally weak. But he kicks everyone's butt and is no doubt among the top 5 greatest wrestlers of all time. Determination is not enough.

i cant wait until askren is representing our country and this great sport and then it will be wonderful for all u guys 2 jump on the bandwagon after he wins the gold......u need a chip on ir shoulder in this sport its the only way 2 be successful u have to walk out on that mat knowing ur going to win and ben has that mentallity and he shows it

You can say what you want about Askren he is a dedicated and hard worker and he has improved.If he wins it or not I think that is a dog fight wiith about 3 of them.

Sooo mmany haters... it amazes me how people who don't compete talk so much trash. If you are a teen I will cut you a break, But I know most of you are adults and you are sad. Don't diminish our sport or its athletes if you truly love wrestling, Let the guys who bounce around in a square ring on cable be morons. Crongrats to Askren,Rowlands,Cormier, and all others who put it on the line... not on a comment board

Ben Askren, What a wonderful kid. A great Icon to the sport of wrestling. If you people don't like him, you evidently don't know anything about him and should quit running your mouths. I personally am sick of reading negative BS about Ben. He as accomplished more in the past 10 years then 10 of you negative Ben bashers could accomplish in a life time. Go talk to him and get to know him and you will change your opinions about him, I can gauruntee that. In the mean time GROW UP

This guy is as dedicated as they come. He eats(not as much now since going down to 74kg), drinks and sleeps wrestling. Anyone who invents and perfects tactics and moves is special. He has raised the bar for all 74kg contenders and that is a good thing for USA wrestling. Look out for Max as well.

askren is a beast....and as soon as he gets his see legs in freestyle...watch out.........its not cocky if you can back it up and I am not a mizzou homer, but damn all the askren haters are gay.
