Izzy Martinez has been coaching wrestling for about 8 years and got involved with mma a little while back through a relationship he developed with Clay Guida. While training Clay in Albuquerque Izzy met Jon Jones and eventually became Jon's wrestling coach. Here we get to catch a glimpse of what an Izzy Style wrestling practice looks like at Jackson's MMA.

I'm usually a big critic of Flo, but this was pretty cool. Talk about an "all-access" opportunity that none of us would have ever had the opportunity to see. Well done.

This isn't supposed to be strictly a wrestling practice for wrestlers. This is a wrestling practice that is geared towards MMA guys, where the object of the sport is not to score near falls or put points on the board, but to submit your opponent or knock off his/her jaw with different forms of leg and arm strikes. A lot of these guys come from backgrounds other than wrestling, so their wrestling skills vary from person to person. However, they still need the training. Don't forget that wrestling is only one aspect among many in a MMA fighter's arsenal, albeit a crucial one.
As far as who Israel Martinez is, watch the "Izzy Style Wrestling Saved My Life" video for his credentials. You can also check out his high school team's (Montini Catholic in Lombard, Illinois) credentials. He's been a crucial part of every team that has been in that room since the 2005-06 season. Along the way they've managed to maintain their status as one of the top teams in the United States every year, let alone in Illinois. His resume, competitive and coaching, is rock solid.

Why don't you want us to see the action? Stop the shaky b&w nonsense. Also, looks like college wrestlers are in a different universe when it comes to workouts.

Loved the video, hated the camera work. All the upside down black and white shots just took away from the action. Keep it simple, this isnt a full feature film.

Amazing video and incredible footage inside this legendary gym. This guy is on the cover of magazines, on sportscenter etc and Flo goes and gets awesome coverage, once again Flo you have blown my mind!!!
