I believe he was cutting hard for 74 and after his disastrous performance in Beijing decided to move up to 84. Since then he has been 3rd, 5th, & 2nd in the World. I don't think he's beating Marsagishvili again who is my early pick for Gold in London.

I wish he would train hard and get back to 74, he'd be a horrible match-up for everyone, he has tsargush's number, on his day he's a destroyer.

Really good match...Aldatov looks like an old and slow bear at times but his 3rd period shot to set up winning throw seemed lightning quick!

Thx for sharing Craig.

Thanks for the vid. I always look at your comment before enjoying the action. You give us tons of background on World medalists that we would never know about. It puts it all inperspective and will help us enjoy the action in London.

Sick bout between 2 potential Gold Medalists in London.
Aldatov is a very experienced wrestler with an amazing misdirection shot and the best ankle lace in the world. He is one of my favorite wrestlers to watch. Marsagishvili is a Junior World Champ who continues to improve on the Senior level. He won the European Championships in March. He is 21 years old.
This was a very competitive bout that end with Aldatov hitting a beautiful throw at the end.
Enjoy!
