OSU coach, John Smith, talks about Gallagher-Iba Arena. The facility was named after legendary coach Ed Gallagher. It remains the only collegiate athletic facility in the US named after a wrestling coach. Read more about the arena HERE.

it is the only major arena where all sports take place. All indoor sporting event are held there. Otherwords there are not multiple gyms on campus.

Although fairly recently named, Grace Hall at Lehigh contains Leeman-Turner Arena.

in other words, you want collegiate wrestling to become freestyle

John Smith is quite impressive. In addition to being one of the greatest if not the greatest US freestyle wrestler, he is modest, intelligent and articulate. I would like to hear some of his thoughts about our Olympic wrestling program and how it can be improved to get better results. I would also like to know his thoughts about more closely aligning collegiate style wrestling to the Olympic style so that our Olympic wrestlers do not have to spend so much time adjusting to that style. Henry Cejudo bypassed collegiate wrestling and won a gold medal at 21. I don't believe there are many other US wrestlers that were able to do that. With the wonderful resources that our great country has, serious thought should be given by the administrators of collegiate wrestling to modify the rules to make it easier for a collegiate wrestler to transition to Olympic wrestling. A good start would be to give points for back exposure; get rid of riding time which makes for a dull match; and stand up the wrestlers after 15 seconds if the top wrestler is not agressively seeking to score.

What about Cliff Keen Arena at the University of Michigan? Cliff Keen was the Michigan coach back in the day and the facility now holds volleyball, gymnastics and wrestling competitions.
