Cam Tessari hit a merkle on Dylan Ness during the Minnesota vs Ohio State dual meet. A pin was called, what do you think?

lol....guy got rewarded for his terrible call...he officiated in the finals of the virginia duals.....what a reactionary solidarity...

losers 1 year ago

minnesota choking like normal and whining about it

Ness must be a sucker for the merkle.. First Dieringer(from the feet) at Fargo, now Tessari.. Thought it was funny.. although he was not pinned..

Horrible, horrible call!

Pat Fitzgerald really needs to take up work as a Florist..because he is one of the worst refs..along with Gary Kessel. That was an awful call

Greg Raycher 1 year ago

Again, I see a REF out of position to make a proper call!!

No way. Arm was under........ Just to play the coach side, "if you aren't on your back you will never be pinned." Sorry had to say it.

why would you say that 1 year ago

just saying, so you think it is ok that a ref calls a pin when he does not see a pin?

just saying 1 year ago

That's life....it was a pin from his angle and there was no real fight there.

WHATTT 1 year ago

THAT WAS NOT EVEN CLOSE!!! Terrible reffing. Just terrible.

Um 1 year ago

Um learn to read jagoff, i even said it didnt look like a pin

Anonymous Coward 1 year ago

hey geez, are you blind not to see the arm under the guy or are you clueless about physiscs laws?

Anonymous Coward 1 year ago

hell no

I don't think so

Hey, dont get ur azz STUCK on ur back in the first place. Not like it was a roll thru and he jus got in a bad position, u could c the merkel coming from a mile away and he got planted with all the swipes. Tessari went to his back early but he popped right out with no real pin threat at any time. Nessy was planted....maybe not a pin but he was stuck in a baddddd position. Doesnt look like a pin from here but dont think the outcome would have been any different, he would hav eventually got him flat enuff

''mtm says;-

obviously bad call but.... we shouldn't highlight a good refs 1 mistake.''..
dont agree at all...first of all this is not '' 1 mistake'',but a fatal one..secondly, a ''good referee'' doesnt award a pin unless he is sure- from his position its almost impossible to have a clear sight of a pin ,and
ruining an athletes career record with a phantom pin is not ''any mistake'' and what i believe the referee has to pay for it...By the way ,did he apologize for what he did?

HOG POOP !!!!

NCAA also bad call 1 year ago

according to previous posts this guy was the ref in Jayson's match at the NCAA and missed the control and back points

some say he is a good official, he is on the list to officiate this year at NCAA
when a Ness wrestles maybe he enjoys the match so much he forgets to officiate

jodilafayette 1 year ago

Wow, this is how they call pins in big matches now? Better give Churella the championship he diserves then. What BS. Minnesota better never have that ref back

stp 1 year ago

He was flat enough for the call. Both shoulders could touch, even with his forearm in the middle of his back.

How was it possible theat the "pinning area" was in contact with the mat while at there was an arm between the two? No.

JR B 1 year ago

not a pin..no way

Anonymous Coward 1 year ago

well,no,havent seen worse...have seen many pins that 's gone unnoticed but none as such fabricated

Dirty jerzey 1 year ago

Was that ref Shawn Felkin, or just trained by him! LMAO

Ness fan 1 year ago

That was a crap call from the ref how can he see ness shoulders on the mat when he's on one side. That's stupid. SHOULD COLLEGE WRESTLING HAVE REPLAYS? Answer me that

adogg 1 year ago

absolutely not!!

Anonymous Coward 1 year ago

As he rolls through he's flat for a brief period of time, but then he continues to roll a cam's arm gets wedged between the mat and his shoulder... So that was a crap call but regretfully I'm pretty sure everyone on here can say they have seen worse. Just imagine what JRob would've done if it cost his team the match.

My Coach always says never leave it up to the ref, Ness should never have been on his back
