Wow, watch a match! What a tourny! Great job Hunter u controlled the pace and pushed Kellen the whole match and just kept goin after him...and eventually got him! Awesome time for college wrestling this year. Only a few more national champs to fall...Oliver is next when Logan comes for blood!

Is video taping opponents legal in college? It may be, but if it's not, I think somebody has some 'splainin' to do... :40 to 1:01... big dude in the gray longsleeve with a one Coach Andrassy!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! I'd assume it's legal.

Kellen is a great competitor and was a true champion last year, as demonstrated by his undefeated record. Steiber had to wrestle incredibly smart and hard to get this win. He deserves a tremendous amount of credit as a true freshman. This should set up some great matches to come throughout the dual match, national duals, Big 10, and then the nationals. Let's not knock these guys -- just celebrate good wrestling competition. That's what it's all about.

I never knew a site like this existed! This is cool, I don't have to hunt to find good wrestling content.

That's right, four champs down! Three from last year.

Boring or not he is a national champ.. He's hurt to.... He will be on top again soon

Stieber is really flexible and looks physically immature, which allows him to adjust to situations a more muscular wrestler would find impossible. On the other hand, Russel has to be the most boring wrestler on the planet, so watching him actually have to do something out there was quite refresing....gokindofvegas Grahales...and I''m not an idiot!

Stieber just wanted it more and it showed. Step up your game Russell!

I don't think this spells doom for Russell, but it sure will give Stieber a load of confidence. Wow, great win.

Not good enough to be first? Let's see last year he repeatedly beat Kennedy, Marion, Thorn, Alton and Novochkov....not good enough to be first?

I dont know, Kellen Russell is a good wrestler, obviously, but I dont feel like he is good enough to be in 1st,there are many wrestlers better then him, but thery just need "his number" In my opinion, I feel like he "long arms" the entire match, usually keeps all his matches very low scoring, he almosts ties up to stall the entire match, I have never seen much offensive from him. Once a wrestler gets his number, like this kid from OHIO and doesnt let him long are and tie up, Kellen will lose! JMO Good for the kid from OHIO!

“Not known for his crazy offence”…yea because he is a boring.

Third defending champ to get beat, and we're only a month into the season. Gonna be a good year!
