I'm also glad that the judges are calling the Merkel early as a stall or stalemate.

Even though it is a good move for freestyle/Greco along with being a staller folktyle move.

Seems like, being that the other (Non-Varner lol) guy just beat Kish.....I that it explains why this match was so close.

And Varner isn't exactly Gillespie, Mendez, or Scott kind of exciting either.......

Yea, Varner is boring! Right!!! The kid was wrestling with a high fever, sore throat, and from what I have heard didn't remember much of the match and thought he was wrestling freestyle part of the time! And still...Jensen couldn't take him down, and couldn't get away from him! Are you kidding me when you say this kid does nothing??? You can clearly tell by watching him that he isn't the same wrestler he usually is yet he puts in on the line, as it was his decision to go out and wrestle, to try and win one for the team! Had he been healthy, it could have been a totally different match. Give the kid some credit for at least trying to win it for his team and quit bashing his every single move. Hate breeds hate, so just keep hating the kid for winning, even if you don't like the way he does it!

Varner best in the land.....T. Todd beat him 3-1 last time but that shouldn't happen at the Nationals? Todd has been destroying everybody lately, what's up with that?

yeah, brands left VT, can you blame him? He took his dream job. Would have been nice if he had stayed but VA is not like the midwest and the ACC is like JV compared to Big 10.

Jake Varner may be hated by some but the fact is that he wins!! Every Time!! Jake's just isn't a very offensive wrestler. In the third period going to the side headlock and not advancing ofcourse is going to get you called for stalling, he shouldn't have seemed so suprised!

You can see Varner doesn't look like his usual self. Just like when Perry lost because he "didn't cut weight right" being sick or whatever can really take a lot out of you.

actually it would be boring, if ryan never shot, it would be scoreless going into the second, guaranteed. He wrestles like a coward. He wouldnt last a week at IOWA, Brands would kick his @$$ all over the place.
