When opportunity is given to all, great things happen to all per history. Everyone deserves the opportunity for greatness: boys, girls, blacks, whites, yellows, greens, men, women, Chinese, Germans, Americans...even you!
All Olympic or international match weights are measured in kilos or kilograms and this weight class is 72kg and/or 158lbs.
We tell our kids that this the GREATEST country in the world and can become whatever they want to if they willing to work for it. Here we are lucky enough to have young women go out and try to do that very thing; winning a gold medal. Do they not get the same opportunity to have goals and dreams like the rest of us guys have had? We have had those very same dreams and goals. We have some CPU heros on here that post about how they wrestle like"4th graders", and we should drop them from the sport. There was a point in these people's lives that post comments like that when someone told them that " they were not good enough, or they were too slow, and they too (you fill in the blank),etc" and some point they started to believe those people. I feel sad you guys, there's no place for you guys on here. These girls have more balls than most and I am greatfull for thier love of our country and I believe in them.Sorry any typos
As a college coach I can tell you that women's wrestling is only getting stronger. In college the WCWA has added at least 6 programs for this coming year. In the youth programs the numbers are exponentially growing. Wrestling is wrestling, and it does not matter what gender you are.
Bader is right. Women's involvement in wrestling is one way to save the sport. The women brought home two medals and I am proud of these ladies and how they represent this sport and this country.
