NO waylogan's attempted td in the first was rightfully not called. Jordan oliver was off the ground when stieber was behind him. no hands on the ground, no td. he did not flee the mat, he hip heisted and avoided the TD.as for the last td....how many times do we see that situation on the edge of the mat but get called 2... come on.stiebers on his hip, jo has all control.steiber should have just done a lap around the mat instead of riskingsomething like that

FINAL: Logan Stieber (Ohio State) vs. Jordan Oliver (Oklahoma State)
Winner: Stieber dec. Oliver, 4-3
Watching this from home and taking out the magnitude of the situation at the time, the end feels totally different. The ref made a great call in not giving him the two
Wow. The first time i have ever seen a retraction like the one CaliCoachN has given. My hat is off to you sir for sseing the error of your ways. Can't wait to watch Stieber wrestle the next three years. God luck Logan on your quest to wrestle in the olympics as well.

because the edge of the mat to improve that position you would have to take youself out of bounds in able to move up on his hips. Stieber had him stoped from improving and he hung around the ankles,, no control,, no takedown
Wow, I watched that match with my nine year son that wrestles and we were SHOCKED that a referee in the NCAA finals would not call that a takedown with Oliver having both legs. Where is that referee from Ohio. What a shame that ref BLEW that call plain and simple. If you have both legs, oponenet is sitting on his butt for five seconds and your head is in his lap. THAT IS A TAKEDOWN!
Oliver never wrestled till the end . He was wrestling the entire match not to lose. Stieber came to wrestle. don't leave the match in the hands of the ref. and you wont lose by 1 point. Simple as that. BTW it wasn't a takedown. If Stieber woulda been out of bounds it would have been a takedown covering the ankles. The position they were in, in the middle of the mat Oliver needed to work up around his waist. Great call on the ref. Maybe next time Oliver will come to wrestle.
