Izzy Martinez - Build Off Reaction, Anticipate Reaction
Izzy Martinez's approach to technique is very interesting. Here he discusses setting up attacks and building technical momentum by gauging your opponent's reaction. He points out that to be ahead of the game, you have to be able to anticipate up to 3 or 4 of your opponent's moves/reactions in succession. He mentions faking low, coming high and vice versa to attack. This is all part of a philosophy that preaches being able to anticipate exactly how your opponent is going to react to each technique you set up. DIRTY!
