Buckle Up
When your opponent has an overhook with your arm around their waste you are in perfect position to hit your seatbelt.

Have you done the move with the inside leg as the tripping leg? Do you have to switch legs? That little hop gives a hint of your motion. I saw Nate Diaz use a faint shot with his inside leg then slide down like a soccer slide tackle(toes up) while holding the waist and using head pressure. This way you can still still drive off your back leg where in the clip he's driving from the arm post. |

I think shoulder pressure from the opponent will stop this move. |
