This program consists of 7th and 8th graders only, comprised of students from the Queensbury Middle School. Half of our wrestlers come into this program with prior wrestling experience. Our season starts in late Nov. and runs until early February.

Not too bad on our first outing --- Play Day at Queensbury. Remeber. There is no reason to be afraid. We want to see you use the technique we work on in the room each day when you wrestle. Don't be afraid to battle. Wrestlers who generally win are those athletes who win all the "little" battles during a single match. Fight for the first takedown, fight for the standup, fight for the X-face cradle for some back points. You need to let your opponent know he is the one that is suppose to loos the match. At this level you can send that message early with a nice hard "spear" double...... keep you head up !!
