Penn State vs Iowa

Penn State vs Iowa
The top ranked Penn State Nittany Lion wrestling squad will travel to Iowa City to take on the Iowa Hawkeyes inside Carver Hawkeye Arena. Penn State won the NCAA tournament the last two seasons at the end of the year while the two teams split in dual meets over the past two years. Both of the meetings took place at Penn State inside Rec Hall, with Iowa winning two years ago and Penn State getting the better of them last year. This year is once again shaping up to be an extremely exciting match that could go either way. The marquee match up will be at 125 where we will see a rematch of last year's NCAA finals between Iowa's Matt McDonough and Nico Megaludis of Penn State. At 157 we have another great match up between ncaa runner up Derek St. John of Iowa and third place finisher Dylan Alton of Penn State. One more highly anticipated match will come at 174 where a pair of highly ranked wrestlers will meet. Mike Evans of Iowa and Matt Brown of Penn State are both ranked in the top 10 and neither has yet to earn All-American honors.
