Taylor can not Touch Dake People DAke is Holding Back Trust and Believe he can Run away with a lead on any of them! The Only athlete in US that Can Hang with Dake is Borroughs and Dake Won a Period in freestyle from Borrough 5-0 However he lost the match Thanks for the youtube Info FLOW wants to Monopolize Wrestling Since No One Else Cares but US and they dont take care of there own people I understand its business but have to give fans something a little more |

how is it that someone put this match up on YouTube but you guys couldn't. I understand withholding the stream from the folks who don't pay but common man, this match happened days ago and you guys are still clinging to the full match like your punishing the people who won't subscribe. Get over yourselves. BTW, for anyone who wants to watch for free now that it has been days since the match someone has posted the full match on you tube. Enjoy for free |

You know what Dake's wrestling style is called? It's called a winning style and that is all that matters. As a PSU fan I wish Taylor was better than Dake because I prefer his style of offense, but unfortunately that style doesn't beat Dakes. I wish Dake would be a little more entertaining at times, but I guess he only pulverizes opponents to my delight when they piss him off. Results are the only thing that matters in the end. The only person that can beat Dake is Taylor and I just can't see it happening this year. |

Staying in good position isnt stalling dake is just a smart wrestler and he obviously knows what it takes to win big matches.... oh and some video always pops up in my recommended videos called "dake gives up first takedown of the season" he was probably the last one lol |

Um, Caldwell just lost to Cory Lear from Bucknell. Do you think Lear would beat Taylor or Dake? |

Of the three (Dake, Taylor and Caldwell), Taylor is clearly the most exciting to watch. He scores points; he takes chances; he doesn't wrestle cautiously. Dake is a very talented strong man. He relies on his strength, which is strength. And it obviously works. But he also stalls and plays it conservative when need be. It's a bit like high-level international soccer. The crowd not only wants to see their team (guy) win; they want to see it done with style. And the best team (guy) doesn't always win. Personally, I think Taylor is the most gifted and talented of the three. At the moment, he doesn't match up well with Dake but he's got way more in the tank and a greater arsenal of offensive moves. It's the Moving Force vs. the Immovable Object. I think Taylor will figure a way to win by the time Nationals roll around. And hopefully the refs will not tolerate Dake's stalls. |

taylor a legend?

first off gable was only 1 2 timer because back then you couldn't start as a freshman other wise he'd probably be a 3x champ and 4x finalist i would never in my life compare david taylor to dan gable i've seen him cry on the podium after losing to bubba and cry at the trials after losing to dame the kid he teched in the finals last year didn't even cry out on the mat he shows me that he is breakable caldwell and dake have never shown anyone that they are breakable beatable maybe but never breakable i'm willing to bet it will be dake against caldwell in the national finals to say caldwell isn't on their level is ridiculous and you must be a complete moron howe is definitely a better wrestler then dake and taylor and caldwell upset him and he also found a way to stop burroughs double in the big 12 finals and keep that match close |

The whole match is on YouTube (from someone's phone). My impression is that (1) Dake controlled the ties and was never threatened in neutral. He is just tough to score against. That was a factor in why Caldwell chose down in the 3rd period; (2) Caldwell cannot ride Dake. He got the reversal almost immediately; (3) Dake can ride Caldwell, but Caldwell is too strong to turn. Dake rode Caldwell for virtually the entire 2nd period and most of the 3rd. Dake had the strength to return Caldwell to the mat. However Caldwell is strong enough to work up to his feet. I still think guys like Taylor and Caldwell have a size advantage as Dake is coming up to their weight. I thought Caldwell looked a bit bigger. Dake is good enough and strong enough to neutralize it, but it's a factor. Taylor vs. Caldwell should be an interesting mix of styles. |

Obliterate: Yea! he doesn't thrash guys like David Taylor does; and it makes you wonder why he doesn't score more. But after the match it is clear the other guy wasn't in it. Perhaps his style will also work really well in freestyle where aggressive scoring is not an issue (maybe when Burroughs retires). |

What does Taylor only having 1 national titlehave to do with anything by the end of his career he probably will have 2 national titles and could have 3 but if even did have 2 national titles thats no joke and i recall gable only having two national titles and he is pretty much the face of wrestling so saying Taylor wont be a legend cuz of national titles is rediculous taylor might not a legend yet but has the capability to do so much for the sport and already has done a lot with this rivalry going on with kyle dake |

obliterate?
Saying Dake doesn't obliterate good opponents is the understatement of the year. In his career, Dake has had 29 matches against Big Ten and Big Twelve wrestlers. If they were dual meets and team scores were given for them, Dake would have scored 87 points for Cornell in those matches. In case you aren't good at math, 29 x 3 is 87. |
