I really don't think you guys have experienced the best of Bo Jordan that kid is a freak of nature and I really don't think these two could keep up with him sorry these boys are good but Bo is just on another level

Over 45.000 views in alittle more than a week. Is this a record??
it's only been 3 days. 2 when you posted this.

People saying either of these kids would "destroy" Bo Jordan are crazy. The way Bo moves his opponent offensivly is amazing and ive never seen a wrestler so calm when someones in on a shot on him. They do not finish. Bo jordan vs Chance Marsteller WOULD BE the best high school match up.

who wins chance or eric morris???

BEST MATCH EVER 5 months ago

Wow! The guy who brought up the Coyle v Logan 1995 NJ State final was on point!
The 2 Logan v Pritzlaff matches were up there also.

LOLOL. i take shute v. lowden too. maybe the second matchup will be more like that. with chance (shute) and weir (lowden) it was a great match. not the best ever. i say one of the best ive ever watched personally was last year piaa semis. Macri v. Rappo. it had everything. lots of action, match changing drama at the end. but again there are many to count.

less talking from Martin Flo the better

Great wrestling! You can see that Cody was being very strategic, which was smart: play defense the first two periods to wear Chance out, and then attack in the third. Darn near worked! I sure wish folkstyle was more like freestyle, especially the pushout thing. It's boring to see people jumping out of bound to avoid getting taken down.

HS matches can be great for too many reasons (rivalries, upsets, buzzer beaters, etc) that I don't see how you could ever pick one. What I will say is that this is the best zero takedown/reversal/backpoint match that I've ever seen.

Dave Brown 5 months ago

100 matches at Midlands better than this? Yeah, right. There is not 1 match at Midlands that had half of the intrigue of this match.

Rusty Jordan 5 months ago

Actually Shute vs Lowden was the best high school match ever.

Anonymous Coward 5 months ago

Only match better is 1995 NJ State Finals 126lbs Mike Coyle vs Damion Logan!

Not even an average college ma 5 months ago

Watch at least 100 matches at midlands that were better than this

Guy 5 months ago

A compliment to the oficials is in order here, too. There's at least a few occasions where many officials would have called a takedown prematurely, or would have called a stalemate prematurely, or perhaps offered up an unwarranted stall warning, or otherwise interjected themselves into the match. These refs stayed out of it, made no mistakes, let the wrestlers decide it on the mat. Its hard to have a truly epic match unless you also have officials who allow it to play out that way.

Sweet match!

holy WOW!!! just WOW....THIS SHOULD BE WATCHED BE ANYONE THATS THINKING OF A NEW YEARS RESOLUTION.....GREATEST MATCH EVER --WRESTLERS, FANS, SPORTSMANSHIP & PASSION OF ALL

Anonymous Coward 5 months ago

A great match. Haters go away! If you love wrestling, there's no way you should bad mouth either kid or the outcome. What a GREAT HS wrestling match!!!!

piaa royalty 5 months ago

no stalling calls. but yea i guess anonymous coward put it better defensive. You don't want my real name. or id have to rip your arm off and hand it back to you. well resume this convo after the next meeting till then. stay whack. as i said the only way cody is in that match is from slowing it down.

Piaa royalty? 5 months ago

Your a moron....there was not one second of stalling in that entire match. Post your real name...state champ my a$$!!!!

Anonymous Coward 5 months ago

Cody is a defensive wrestler. Look at his matches!!!!

Piaa royalty 5 months ago

I agree w a lot of the post here. Here is the bottom line here as a former piaa champ, and current coach. Chance def didn't look his best and it was clear he was fresh from an injury. He was passive in the third but let's not forget that Cody stalled his n--s off the first 2 periods and had no chance at even coming close to scoring. FYI if he ever has a chance to beat chance that is the exact match he should wrestle. If he tries to go open, the rematch will get ugly in a hurry. Bottom line Marsteller gets the W. and next time will be more of the same.

Classic 5 months ago

It's real simple. Have Bo weigh in at 165 and Cody will weigh in at 165 for the wrestling classic in Pittsburgh in late march! Wierchioch 7-3. Bo will get 3 escapes, Cody will get 3 takedowns an an escape!

runningforoffice 5 months ago

Guess I missed it--but was Bo in THIS match? I'd talk about him on his video pages :) He's a great wrestler-but...he wasn't in THIS match. I might be green to the sport but from what I can ascertain, wrestling matches are wrestled on wrestling MATS--not on paper or rankings or in our heads.

mrk 5 months ago

Thank you Keystone State for the input. That is one name I definitely missed. Freestyle doesn't always translate to a good folk style wrestler but that is quite an accomplishment for the young man. There is actually another wrestler I missed. The revised list is this:

1. Bo Jordan
2. Chance Marsteller
3. Nathan Tomasello
4. Aaron Pico
5. Mark Hall
6. Zain Rutherford
7. Zahid Valencia
8. Kyle Snyder
9. Cody Wiercioch
10. Dean Heil
Honorable Mention: Joey Dance(lighting on feet(would like to see him improve on mat), Isiah Martinez, Eric Morris, Zach Epperly

Mendoza Hector 5 months ago

Wow! What a match! Great heart and mental toughness from both wrestlers. I especially like the mutual respect after the match. True warriors. We will definitely be showing this video at our youth practice. Great example gentlemen.
Thank you

Adam Hunglikeamule 5 months ago

Theyre both great, but Marsteller will never reach his potential until he learns to get the inside tie....

Anonymous Coward 5 months ago

Anyone that thinks this is anything other than a relatively uneventful match doesn't watch much wrestling. What criteria was used un determining that this was such a great match? Was it the fact that both these wrestlers are supposed to be so good? Was it the screaming hysteria of the announcers? Maybe both.

@ Anonymous Coward under me 5 months ago

wiercioch, like willie said is one of the best wrestler out of pa. I think in the state finals it will be another barn burner, but chance will come back on top.
