It's nice to see she appreciates the sport of wrestling and is trying to build the program at NC State rather than eliminate it.

North Carolina State's highly successful Athletic Director, Debbie Yow, addresses the changes in the Wolfpack wrestling program under new Head Coach, Pat Popolizio, the National Duals Proposal, and more.
She did not bankrupt Maryland the current AD did that when they fired a good coached and had to pay out his contract and then they picked up a football coach that no one wanted. BB resign didn’t help either. Maryland also had one of the best Academic Support units in the nation under Debbie Yow. That has drastically changed.Debbie Yow is an amazing person.
Great interview. Getting Coach Popilizio to go to NC State was a great move by the administration. Their future looks bright!
Ironic that a female AD supports wrestling. Can we clone this woman? She seems really on top of things.
Great interview Joe. These types of interviews with AD's gain exposure to the sport, credibility to the sport, as well as accountability on the part of AD's and universities to keep wrestling. It takes a lot of effort and guts to do interviews like this. Good stuff, your the man.
