CA did fine. CA brought 12 returning state place winners (all from last season) and placed 6 of them plus 2 freshman (I. Saavedra & Pico). At a tournament like Super 32 if you place 50% of your state placers, that can't be all bad. There's always room for improvement.

Joe, Willie, thanks for all the work you put in to all these coverages, they are awesome. It's so sweet to be able to watch all the action I didn't get to see because I was coaching. Flo forever!!!

come on poster "??", really? I'm figuring joe chose finals first because he felt fans would want to see them first. especially ones like heil pico and suriano lee. I'm sure if he uploaded the 1/4s and semis first you or someone would have complained that you had to wait for the finals to be uploaded. it's a lose lose with a lot of you. id suggest to maybe try and be a little appreciative of the work guys like Willie and Joe put into making coverages like these happen. and I'm sure by tomorrow morning everyone will have plenty of matches to keep them from being a productive employee at their respective workplaces. that is all.

We got every quarter final, semi final and final. THey are going up now. Followed by an NC state coverage and duke coverage.

@Mark MorrisI agree. PA depth is always impressive and Super 32 no exception. Great showing Keystone boys. We'll keep trying to catch up but we have a ways to go, as does everyone else.Looking forward to having Sem out to the West Coast this year!

I could be wrong but I think you will not find anything cyclical about the Super 32 results or tournaments where PA decides to show up. I believe that if you took the top guys at each weight class in states like Ohio, NJ, CA, and maybe 1 or 2 other states you would see them beat PA every now and then. If you take the top 8 or 10 or 20 the gap widens considerably. jmo

We didnt get it done this weekend -- we definately need to make some adjustments in training for the specifics of this event to help achieve better results. Will make some adjustments and be back. I will eat some humble pie. It was PA's day today -- I nor any of our coaches or parents or athletes will make any excuses.

You should not take Ernie so serious - He is passionate about wrestling and CA wrestling. He is doing a lot to promote the sport and his posts are intended to stir things up to create a buzz around wrestling. I can only say that he is much more than an armchair fan. He is making things happen for wrestling and not only in CA but also in other states by supporting individuals and teams to go out west and wrestle. As annoying as it is to read some of his posts :) I will be the first to admit wrestling would be better off if they had more people promoting wrestling the way he does. Keep up the good work Ernie - Your post are filled with enthusiasm even if they do lack reality sometimes.

Fleeing.Agreed it was not stalling. if any call to be made its fleeing,But Pico was already out and dove out of the hold so maybe fleeing...maybe no call... but definitely not stalling.

I don't know about faking an injury but I think Pico would have gotten NF off his 1st td if not for injury. Coincidentally blown NF helped Lee lose his match.

Lee at 106 and Pico at 132Cases of the younger guys being on the brink of victory and giving up take downs in the last few seconds of matches.2 kids I can see being 3 time winners... so close to getting that 1st one.

Great performance by Pico. It's too bad he lost the way he did. If Heil didn't run the clock, stall by faking an injury, Pico would have won by outworking Heil. I hope to see a rematch at FloNationals.
