The key to wrestling on bottom and getting away is constant movement and having an attitude. Luke shows how to keep constant movement while keeping his hips under him, if you let your body get in front of your hips it is going to be a lot easier for your opponent to break you flat. In the same sense you have to make sure not to lean back into him too much because you might get chin dropped.
