For those of you who don't know, Jamill Kelly was an athletic mad man who, unlike many, built his highly-credentialed profile post his college wrestling career. After never having achieved A.A. status while in college, Kelly hit the freestyle scene and took off like wild fire. Kelly become the Olympic Silver Medalist in freestyle wrestling in 2004. Much of his success around this time came by way of his dynamic and high risk style -and the man could throw!
Kendall Cross made his mark early on -he was an Oklahoma State Champion, 3x All American and NCAA Champion at Okie St.. Oh, and he was an Olympic Champion in 1996. Dude was sick.
Stylistically, Kendall Cross' style is actually very similar to Jamill Kelly's. It's just as dynamic -he's the type of wrestler who can attack high or low, score big time points with his offense or defense, expose an opponent with creativity from top, etc.- and when it comes to technical prowess, his throws match Jamill Kelly's without question.
But, of the two, who has the best throw? Jamill Kelly's money maker from the over-under or Kendall Cross' competition killer from the double overs.
