I've seen Llopez wrestle quite a few times, and I can honestly say he's not at all in his prime in this match. Looked like a pretty sloppy match overall.

Funny...there used to be complaints about singling out kids in forums and now we show their videos and post away. All I would say is if he wasn't hurt or sick pulling out of the rest of the day just doesn't work for me.

LLopez got beat..big deal. Everyone is beatable. the kid stinson looked to be a lil more physical and in condition the llopez. i didnt like the scoring by the ref either, but i did like the fact the kid stinson put himelf in a position to score at the end of each period. IMHO llopez looked like sucked too much weigh too quick. he should simply consider lifting weights and and getting stronger and then going 160 not 52. he has another 2 months before an official HS match in 2012 and if i were heim..i would be lifting my a$$ off and getting in shape.

I also would not knock llopez out of #1 spot because we want the kids to wrestle these off season tourneys. Half the time you cant get a national presps kid to wrestle a top kid bc they are so afraid of dropping a spot -- take it for what it was--a good match-- a nice showing by this guy --and move on

Horrible 1 and 2 at the end of the 1st...ref must be a "hometown" guy !

Nice win for Stinson...both wrestlers looked sloppy but a W is a W

Good match considering both wer e only in fair shape. I have watched Stinson his whole life and he has beat the best around and lost to some of the , lets say not so good. If Stinson ever wrestles with fire like his fathe r and uncle he could be great. I've watched wrestling for 50 years after wrestling in High School, and I have seen the greats and when Stinson is on he's very good. I don't like leg wrestlers didn't like wrestling them but never lost to one either, it seems to me it's just a way to rest. If you use them them in a scramble as a pinning combination the way the great Rick Sanders did that's fine but to try and turn a good wrestler, only the greats do that. There is only one way to wrestle, all out, on the attack, one move after another, never stop, and you'll win , when on top pin your opponent or die trying. When your on the bottom , from the whistles one move after another until you escape or reverse, I can still hear it in my head , MOVE, FAST, HARD CONTINUOUS. Never stop moving, so get in shape. Once a wrestler always a wrestler.

I don't know who said that josh Lopez out wrestled Stinson but thats not what I saw. The first period Stinson out shot Lopez 5 to 1 and almost took him down three times and then did after an escape. Stinson was definitely stronger and just as quick. I know for a fact Stinson is not even in top shape yet, and not only Lopez but everyone he wrestles will find that out in the near future. If anything Stinson is just to nice a guy, if he ever gets that psyched out frame of mind that his uncle and father wrestled like , he will be unbeatable, because he has more talent.

llopez looked sloppy and winded. not his best. when you have a caliber wrestler like llopez, being winded is embarrassing. that is the only thing that can beat a wrestler like llopez. great job to both participants.

Anonymous Coward 7 months ago

stinson looked pretty good....great win for him

Last couple seconds 7 months ago

Stinson scored almost all his points in the closing seconds of each period! Look alive Llopez!

Jimmy 7 months ago

Llopez had him easily, i dont see why he didn't just let stinson try to shoot. He would've won.

Anonymous Coward 7 months ago

Lopez definetly out wrestled the other guy who just stayed in all fours the entire match, not a good way to setup your opponent

Anonymous Coward 7 months ago

lol Llopez didnt wrestle his best match but hes still the best in the country. He could whoop my ass and anyone commenting on this video hating on him

Anonymous Coward 7 months ago

Apparently no one in Maryland can counter sloppy leg riding or ride them effectively against quality competition...or else Llopez would have gotten better or just stopped using them all together.

Anonymous Coward 7 months ago

ref let the coaches control the scoring, that was not one and two at the end of the first.

Anonymous Coward 7 months ago

yes jordon touches and goes, he doesnt sit on all fours for an entire match, you can use that position to transition from offense to defense but these kids sit in an all fours position the whole match are getting these kids in bad habits,

Ed Piccola 7 months ago

why do coaches let there kids wrestle on all fours? its a waste of time and as you can see from this video, its not very practical to take a shot from all fours? try and hit a blast double fom all fours, honestly it seems like a stall tactict for guys who dont have any offensive weapons. that crap never works in college
You should try telling a guy named Jordan Burroughs that.

haha. You so funny Ed

Willie Saylor 7 months ago

i wouldn't take this match as an example of a typical Josh Llopez.

Anonymous Coward 7 months ago

Llopez needs to diversify his attacks if he wants to become a hotter commodity come recruiting season next year. He's obviously very athletic, but too predictable.

Anonymous Coward 7 months ago

What weight is this? Was the final score 8-5? I don't have sound
