Joey Dance had two tough Calls during the Repechage of the Junior World Championships. One was on a clinch when his opponent appeared not to touch hands and the other when Joey was initiating taking his opponent down and they both went out of bounds. You Make the Call.

Armenian wrestlers knee did absolutely touch in the initial part of the takedown. Actually I believe both knees touch. Even if that had not happened still believe he should have been awarded the point on the out of bounds sequence.

Joey Scored the one point on the edge of the mat. if you see closely the oppenents knee hits the ground before he leaves the mat.

On the edge, Dance should have been awarded the point. Rule states that the whole foot has to touch out of bounds for a point to be awarded to the other wrestler. Only part of Dance's right foot touches out of bounds while part remains in bounds. At the same time his opponent's right foot steps fully out of bounds and contacts the mat before Dance's left foot (see 1:12). Furthermore, Dance initiated the move. 1 point Dance.

On the clinch, hands never touch and ref is in horrible position.

After watching the slow motion of the clinch the Arm Wrestler did touch on the clinch. I think the Ref got that right after Seeing it in slow motion. That is a pretty slick technique for the clinch if you are going to go straight to a double leg.

The interesting thing here is that the coaches did not challenge either call. I would have thought they would have challenged the clinch as they had nothing to lose. The other call is tough because if you challenge and lose you are now down two points. If you do not challenge one point (takedown or push out) will still win the match for you. If you challenge and win of course you are up by one and only need to defend.
