RE: Fadzayev and Sajidov comentaries in Russian press:
Fadzayev is an Ossetian wrestling legend. Ossetia is the true cradle of Russian wrestling champs, Dagestan is second. Remember not just Fadzayev, but the Khadartsev brothers, Elburz Tadayev, Jumblat Tadayev, more recent memory Gatsalov, Taimazov (wrestles for Uzbeks), Besheek Kudokhov, Tsargush, Gazyumov (wrestles for Azerbaijan), Tighiev bros, Gogaev etc... Fadzayev's comments, however, are still nothing more than excuses. "Bad coaching, bad or different preparation...blah blah blah..."
Sajidov also reflects negatively upon the draws, and time between matches etc...

Overall, at different times, different teams have benefited/gotten screwed by FILA draws. As fans, we need to ask FILA for a seeding system. We all want to see the best go at it in the finals, like an NCAA basketball tourney arranged based on rankings. Now if a cinderella beats a high seed, God Bless, root for 'em all the way, but please, no free passes. Cinderellas in the NCAA tourney earn their spot in the sweet 16, or Final Four etc...

Also, as Sajidov says, in 96 kg, the #2 wrestler in the world, Gadisov has to wrestle a qualifier, while a no-name/at-large bid bag-o-pus wrestler gets a bye. WTF?? Same in 60 with top ranked Kudokhov and the talented Puerto Rican who met 1st round qualifier?? same in 66kg. world champ gets a "qualifier round," while Mr. nobody/no titles guy gets a bye? Even little league baseball grasps the seeding concept. Come on fellaz!
FILA: GET A CLUE, WE NEED A SEEDING SYSTEM FOR OLYMPIC WRESTLING. YOU ARE KILLING THE SPORT!!

Did Yazdani beat Gadisov? I thought it was the other way around. Sorry to hear he hurt his knee.

NIce prediction. Yazdani kicked Gadisov's ass in the Olympics.
Incidentally, Gadisov has become a master at torquing/trashing knees during close bouts.
1)Gadisov twisted Yaz's knee in the Iranian Pro league, Yaz retired in the third after the 1st 2 periods were split 1-1. This wasn't some earth-shattering victory for Gadisov, as others wouldhave you believe. Yaz must have had a measure of revenge on his mind during the Olympic match.
2)Gadisov torqued Saidov's knee in a close match in the Russian National 2012, Saidov essentially had to retire.
3)Gadisov torqued Gogschelidze knee in 2012 European Championships, Gogy suffered partial ACL injury (didy'all see the big black DonJoy brace Goggy was wearing during the Olympics, courtesy of Abdusalam)

Sweet loss in first round for Gadisov. Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy...now for a breakdown:
Yazdani vs. Gadisov
keep seeing posts by guys who apparently didn't watch this match or the others that followed, and are posting based on garbage NBC Sports blurbs. Gadisov came out six guns ablaze went up 3-0, but it took a toll on him. He ran outta gas at the end of the 1st. Yazdani dominated the 2nd period, won 3-0. Gadisov looked like he was gonna die. Gads was sucking wind-big time. 3rd period, again Yazdani did NOT let up, kept bull rushing. Gads kept tugging and holding Yaz's singlet. Yaz got a nice one leg takedown, Gads got a point back, but this was Custer's last stand. I thought Gads was gonna have a heart attack. Yaz kept at him, and got the final point. In deference to other posters NO WAY IN HELL was Gads in this other than the first round. Yaz won readily, had Gadisov on the run from the beginning of the 2nd round until the end. Do yourselves a favor and please watch the match!
Only wrestler of Yaz's stature that Gadisov encountered was Gatsalov in rooskie nationals, which was tied 1-1 after two periods, went to clinch at the end of three, and Gads won the lotto ball. Now the Russian homers will keep ranking Saidov, Akhmedov, Muradov, the corpse of Yeltsin, Brezhnev, grandma's borsht ahead of anyone else in 96kg, including Yaz, Varner, etc... Oh well, your main man Gadisov, with all the publicity, videos, pomp and cirstance got his ass kicked fair and square. Now fellaz, do yourselves a favor and watch Yaz's matches. He is an excellent wrestler, and a great sport. Put politics, idiot mullahs aside. Watch his matches for what they are great wrestling!
Insofar as my other posters commenting on how it is important to be in shape to avoid injuries during Olympics apparently in reference to Yazdani's injury, you must not have watched the matches. Damn.
YAZDANI TORE HIS ACL, AND MENISCUS!!! still tried to wrestle fatass Andreiitsev for a minute with this injury. This is not a conditioning issue, but a matter of chance. I guess you posters would also say a guy like Adrian Peterson is in crap form, and that's why he tore his ACL? B$TCH Please. Next time watch the matches before posting stupid fecal matter based on bubble gum Bob Costas/People magazine style excerpts.
Top p4p wrestlers: Burroughs, Yazdani and that's all folks.

Cream of the crop! Gadisov is going to beat the 2011 World Champion Reza Yazdani of Iran. I hope Jake can mix it up with those guys.
