Anzore Urishev is a 2x European champion and at an International tournament in 2011 defeated United States Olympian Jake Herbert in a 3 period battle. Urishev is one of the heavy favorites to bring home gold in London.

I watched it a bunch of times. I think he has wrist control with his right, then snaps the opponents inside tie with his left. But as he snaps, he pulls with his right handed wrist control across his body. Thus, the opponent has nothing to brace himself with when snapped. I think I saw John Smith or Guerro show something like this on flow, but I can't find it. |

Yeah, how does he do those snaps? I wish I could get a technique wave breakdown of them and show the boys.Hmmm...we'll see what we can do. That would be awesome. I'm sure we've someone who can show parallel snap downs. Or we might be able to find a technician who can break down exactly how they are done. Andy Hrovat shows some awesome Russian technique. Ben Askren too. We need someone who can show these Urishev snaps for sure. P.S. Action from 0:28-0:47 is amazing. |
