they got the #1 guy from Gary Abbott's report on themat.com. "Aktas is considered Turkey’s top athlete at the weight class, a runner-up at the Olympic Test Event in London in December 2011."

ok well Aktas has never competed at a single Senior level World Championship while his Turkish counterpart, Ersin Cetin, has represented Turkey at the last two World Championships & placed 5th in the World in 2010. So unless Aktas recently defeated him to represent Turkey in London, Cetin is the #1 guy for Turkey. And world rankings, whatever they are, don't mean anything after the top 5 or 7 guys..

Regardless it's a great win for Steiber. Future's bright for this young man.
