That was 5 for sure.

Let's see face-to-face, which raises the level of difficulty substantially, feet/body in air "describing arc," landed in danger position... what more is required for a 5? Some of you need to rewatch the video in slo-mo and focus on body positioning during the throw.

Russian got tossed like a ragg doll. How did he not know that was coming? Them Russians better school up on "Air Frayer"!

no one is questioning Frayer's move. It was awesome . Some people are questioning the referee's scoring. No knock on Frayer.

IndyRR 11 months ago

How many of you who are questioning this move have ever done this? If you are behind the guy and have him by the waist, it's a difficult move to hit. If you're facing him, as Frayer is, it's beyond-belief difficult. And yet Frayer hit it with absolute confidence and determination. I hope he can replicate this in the Olympics. Between this and Coleman Scott's throw, this was way bigger.

This was sick but Tervel Dlagnev's 5 point to win his match and the dual was awesome too. I hope you Flo can post it!

Hey no five at least us Americans can spell Russians.

David Bray 11 months ago

I like the way you think, J W!

arm-spin 11 months ago

Beautiful throw, but I wouldn't have awarded it 5. Not that it really matters.

J W 11 months ago

Gotcha, thx for the info DB...didn't know this event fell under the Olympic header. An alternative is for someone to go rogue and clandestinely take vids of these events and post online somewhere out-of-the-way. Someone w/out much $ who can't be sued for much :)

NO FIVE 11 months ago

No broad sweeping curve in air . just pulls him over his body.. Dumb amerikans do not know how to score

KB 11 months ago

There is nothing about "air time" in the definition posted below by cool salto. As far as I'm concerned, the throw met all the criteria (lose all contact with ground, controlled, broad sweeping curve, lands in danger position).

The real question is, why are we even arguing whether it was 5 point throw or not? Who cares? It was a sweet throw, and won him the period... which it would have done if they gave him 5, 3, or even just 1 for a push out.

cool salto... 11 months ago

Not enough "air time"

Article 40 - High amplitude throw
Any action or hold by a wrestler in the standing position is deemed to
be a ‘grande amplitude’ throw when:
- it causes his opponent to lose all contact with the ground, controls
him, makes him describe a broadly sweeping curve in the air, and
brings him to the ground in a direct and immediate danger position
- in the “par terre” position, any complete lift from the ground executed
by the attacking wrestler, whether the attacked wrestler lands belly
down (3 points) or in a danger position (5 points), is also considered
a grand amplitude throw

tbert 11 months ago

nice throw, but not five by definition...

Rocker Will 11 months ago

Maybe Flo shouldn't be referencing "bomb" in Times Square :). But it was a pretty nasty throw!

Anonymous Coward 11 months ago

Agreed Flo sucks, get to the main event! High school and youth kids! Who cares about the Olympians

Chael Sonnen 11 months ago

This is great footage of all Olympic team, and these guys deserve all of the exposure that they can get. I find it interesting that all of the content is related to the top level wreslters. Where are the matches that the kids participated in? The event showcased the Olympic Team as a fundraiser for the Beat the Streets movement. I don't see anything on here discussing the progress of the movement or highlighting the impact that it is having on the lives of New York City children. Flowrestling dropped the ball here, and its appaling to me. How could you fail to include the growth of Beat the Streets to 17 states. The children that competed in the event worked hard and zealous about wrestling on such a large stage. Every video is about the athletes competing and it doesn't reflect anything related to the Beat the Streets movement.

David Bray 11 months ago

J W, Martin posted that NBC paid $4 Billion for rights to the Olympics. Since this event had the 60 KG trials final, NBC had the rights. That would be a tough bid for anyone to make...

J W 11 months ago

I wish that Flo would bid on wrestling events like this one? I can't imagine that the networks pay too much, and maybe flowrestling could do a pay per view online.

where's is coleman's throw? the stupid universalsports.com feed when out.
