I was at the match. I knew Taylor was in trouble when he got in the same 3 point lineman stance as Dake was in the entire match. Well, that stance and the one in which they put both forearms on their thighs and just basically stared at each other. Dake was able to dictate the entire match once Taylor mirrored his style. Taylor needs to keep the pressure on him. He needs a little bit of an Iowa style aggression in the neutral position. A few slaps to Dake's head, forearms to the back of the neck, and some pushing and pulling to get Dake moving. Taylor can't become a wall with arms like Dake. What happened to the David Taylor that keeps moving from one move to another? What I'm suggesting is no easy task against one of the greatest wrestlers in the history of Division I. However, if Taylor keeps mirroring Dake's style every time they wrestle then Dake will come out on top every single time. |

If it said too many people were logged in it means someone else had your log in and password and was logged in already. Don't givey our login info to others and you would have been just fine. |

Dake dominates again. Taylor fans make excuses.Dominates? Really? Kyle Dake would probably laugh at your post Edward. |

Both looked tentative, Dake more so. You can't open up on either wrestler because they both are masterful at scoring from your offense. I have to say even though Dake won , I give the nod in every match going forward to Taylor because he actually worked to score several times and came close. Dake didn't really open up or try to score offensively at all and never came close. My hats off to him though, he found a way to win. For me, the way he won was not that reassuring. |

I have been a Dake fan since his Jr high school. I went to virgina Nationals and My Wrestler draw him first round, and my kid was good and Dake only gave up 1 point and I knew then he was going to be great. |

Dake has had some furious competition. To get his titles, he's had to knock off Marion, Molinaro, and St. John -- all super tough guys. Taylor hasn't had too many tough guys, except last year's NCAAs, and we know the outcome. As far as the Hodge goes, Ruth should have gotten it, and Dake should have been next in line. Ruth had two top-notch undefeated guys in his weight, and he crushed one of them. |

In some ways, if Dake gets a fourth title, he'll be the greatest college wrestler ever. He hasn't had a redshirt year. Cael did have a redshirt year, and suffered a loss to a guy who wasn't that good (the loss was to Peter Jenn). Cael would surely have lost more had he competed at the NCAAs that year. So we can't compare Sanderson to Dake because both had different rules to live by: Sanderson went to a school that heavily supports sports, whereas Dake is at an academic powerhouse that views sports as SECONDARY to academics, and does not allow redshiriting. |

" It's about to be 5 losses once he wrestles David Taylor"...? Kyle was ahead 5-0 and pinned Taylor yesterday in the 1st per. at the trials! Two of Kyles losses were as a TRUE freshman, he came back and avenged both of them and went on to win the NCAAs. Taylor was a red letter freshman and still didn't win. |

People are talking about Taylor beating Dake...well, at the last major freestyle event Taylor lost to St. John, and then Taylor came back and edged him out. So to say that Taylor is far ahead of Dake is ridiculous. In freestyle, I'd give Dake the advantage. In folkstyle, your guess is as good as mine. |

side note: if you read Taylors interview Q & A on intermatwrestle he said he is stayin at 165lbs and that Ruth and Wright are bumpin up weight classes with Matt Brown filling in at 174. |

We don't even know what weight classes Taylor or Dake are gonna be in next year. But with Taylor and his team lineup he is probably gonna have to go 165. As for Dake with how he has been growing and how huge he looks, he is probably gonna be 165 too. And if they meet in the finals next who ever beats who will go down as one of the top 5 greatest. |

Dake is definitely top 10 of all time in the NCAA's IMO. If he wins 4, He's top 5, and if he beats Taylor, hes got to be 2nd behind Cael. He refuses to lose. |
