Tervel Dlagnev was a 4x All-American and 2x national champion while wrestling on the Divison 2 level at Nebraska Kearney. In 2009 Dlagnev made a world team and was able to capture bronze at the world championships. In 2010 Dlagnev's nemesis from college, Les Sigman, defeated him in the world team trial finals. In 2011 Dlagnev returned to the world team by defeating 2008 Olympian in the world team trial finals. At 2012 Olympic trials Dlagnev dominated his opponents and in the finals avenged his 2010 loss to Sigman to become your 2012 120kg Olympian.

Congratulations Tervel. We are all so proud of you and wish you the very best. If you do not know Tervel, he is one of a kind. He is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet and is so much fun to be around. I can't even imagine how much fun all the guys have with him being on the team. Tervel is one of the most athletic wrestlers you will ever meet and one of the most laid back and easy going guys to ever wrestle. I can't wait to see you compete and bring home that gold big man. We are having a huge watch party here in Nebraska and it is going to be loud and crazy.

This is a lot better than just highlights. This actually tells a story of the ups and downs someone goes through to make an Olympic team
