It doesn't matter whether Ramos or McDonough is at 133 next year Stieber is taking that championship again

if matt went to 133, im sure ramos would then go 125 an will be top 2 at the weight. i can see matt become real good at turning people in freestyle with his long strong arms. once he starts training that style year around! 2016 gold for Matt Mcdonough!!!!!!!

Gillman and Nate S. are not ready yet they would not do very well at those very tough weights but Matt should go up to prove something 125 for him is too much of a drop anyway he is a true 133 and big for that weight even

From the sound of it, he might go up in weight next year. What about Tony Ramos? What weight is he going to be at next year? 125, 133, or 141?
Flo should ask Brands about this. They have Thomas Gilman coming in, who is college-ready for 125 right now. Ditto for Nate Skoniezny at 141 or 149.

I wish I could get 10% of that mentality into the kids I coach. I don't care if you love or hate Iowa, you have to appreciate that drive and refusal to make excuses.

What a great attitude and mindset he's got. Tough as nails, a wrestler through and through. I saw only his first match today, but he was impressive. Looked very comfortable with the style. But you better believe it's tough to go up against guys who have been wrestling this style all year. With more freestyle experience, I think he'll be tough.

Matt Mcdonough is going to be real good when he starts training freestyle year round, its going to be interesting if he moves up to 133 and 60kilos, because logan stebier is there and he is only going to get better. so if he does go there, a epic WAR is going to start between them....

Even though he came up short against 2 of the 3 best wrestlers in the country, he shows incredible promise. Within 2 years, he should make the US World team. He's that good.
