I agree. Davis would win 9-3. Marstellar is VERY overrated

Anonymous Coward 1 year ago

ive only seen chance marstellar wrestle once and i believe joey davis can handle him but who knows anything can happen

Anonymous Coward 1 year ago

Marstellar would lose to Joey Davis. That is all I know.

Now Ernie, will those all star teams be specifically composed of seniors or will they be of the best wrestlers period? I ask because Chance Marstellar would have to get the nod over Brian Brill and Brooks Black would almost certainly have to be the HWT over Averee Robinson. As for 220 either Rizzo or Haines would be tough to beat.

Of course California is going to win with that many wrestlers. But Ernie you are great for the sport sir. Thank you for everything you are doing

Anonymous Coward 1 year ago

I would love to see OH, CA, PA best get after it! Ernie you are great for the sport of wrestling, I am from PA and I would love to see this happen.. Have you contacted people from PA to go to this event? Is PA and OH def going to be there? Will it be shown on flo? Sounds awesome

Talk is cheap, Cali showed up. Is there a difference between a reason and an excuse? No.

You the man Ernie!

Ohio's best are slated to be in CA to wrestle our Dream team and 30 other all star and all state teams over three days memorial day weekend. The offer has been made--we have a venue, and we have at least two states with dream teams that would like to see if they can wrestle with the best the keystone state has to offer. The time for trash talking is over--lets give the country what they want best on best OH, CA, PA heck we may even lure the Jersey boys or New Yorkers into the fray. Best on Best state rivalries, that is what wrestling needs for the sport to grow --training to be a world champion or olympic champion is important--but it is going to take some selfless people getting together and doing revolutionary things to take wrestling to another level. We have had world champions, olympic champions, pan am champions, Tiblisi champions--yet wrestling is still a twenty million dollar enterprise and trailing sports like archary, badminton, and sychronized swimming as far as sponsorship and advertising dollars-- America's Cup for Wrestling --Clovis HS--Memorial Day Weekend--cost will not be a factor--

PA's best would smash CA's bes 1 year ago

NC your an idiot! I highly doubt that a kid like chance marsteller didn't show bc he is afraid of a cali, what a joke..No moron, marsteller and a number of other PA studs were out at the OTC preparing for freestyle bc they want to one day be a world and olympic champ, they aren't worried about cali. All i was saying was that cali did whip the competition but it wasn't PA's best so don't act like it was. And PA's best wasn't not there bc they were scared they were out training to be the best in the world so don't get it twisted, and i think we all know that if you took cali's very best vs PA's best we know PA would absolutely dominate!

CASMASHPA 1 year ago

If the best pa guys weren't there thats their own damn fault, Cali came to wrestle, period.

NC 1 year ago

Cali destroyed the competition at the toughest tournament in the country and PA shutup its in PA so if they dont show up its because they dont want to compete against the toughest state in the country

Big props to the Clovis coaches, Ernie, Jacob Harmon and others that put probably the best group of CA kids to travel out of state that I've seen for FloNationals. Argue all you want but they showed up and won. I hope they can do the same thing next year and if it is in PA and the PA hammers don't show, well I guess it is what it is.

PA 1 year ago

I'll give Cali credit when they wrestle in a national tournament that other states studs are actually at.. Everyone from Cali on here admits PA studs weren't at either national tourney so who did Cali even beat?? Where we're the PA studs you ask, the OTC training for freestyle like they should be.. Maybe Cali kids are thinking on the national level while PA kids are thinking about being world and Olympic champs

best coast 1 year ago

all them other states are makin excuses now haha

While the Cali fans continue to jizz all over themselves, I tried to find out who represented Ohio in this exhibition tourney. Have not seen any bracket sheets, but based on the video listing available, the only guy from Ohio I had even heard of before was Nick Tavanello. He was in his first year as a heavyweight and I'm sure is looking for work before heading off to college at OSU. Thomasello. DiCamillo, Heil, Martin, Bo and Isaac Jordan, Ryan Taylor, Huston Evans, Abounader, Chaz Gresham, Collica, etc. etc. were all no-shows for this meet - which is not uncommon.

Thankyu johann gerlach looks like that guy iz gettin a little jealous that we won both national tournaments

Johann Gerlach 1 year ago

If PA can't bring their best lineup to a tournament in their own state?!?! Phew. Can't say they were at the other national tournament b/c CA won that one too! Awesome stuff CA!

So, all the PA 1st string guys where at home, relaxing? While, California invaded their state? Excuses are only good for the ones that need them. U had your chance this year, and decided not to play with the big boys.

Dont get it twisted 1 year ago

great turn out that from cali, but cali dont get it twisted you beat a second string PA team I think there was 1 maybe 2 state champs from PA if that.. How many state champs did cali have?
