I wish he would come do a clinic at my school so he could teach his superior technique, cause that is how he won. He had superior technique to everyone he wrestled!
Even though he weighed 125 lbs with 20% of his body gone! So what!
Even though he is a 160 lb'er wrestling smaller guys and able to do things on the mat that nobody else can do, he didn't win because of that!
He won because of his technique! Some people are so ignorant!

I don't think the questions bothered Robles at all. The question about the advantage of one leg vs. two was also asked by David Letterman in his appearance right after he won. The question about the tailoring is really the type of question a friend would ask out of curiosity. It seemed apparent these guys were friends and not strangers. Since he is now going to be an inspirational speaker and will be wearing suits instead of a singlet - I don't believe Robles thought it was inappropriate at all. Different opinions I guess.

are the man. You are an inspiration to us all.

If these were not people just volunteering their time, if it were a pro asking the questions, but it's just a person who loves the sport and donates their time and energy. All that considering it's a pretty good interview.

come on man... 2 years ago

interviews being a part of your work you have to be more conscientious about the questions you ask. some things are very inappropriate in this interview. some people might not agree with me, but that's my point of view. maybe if you right down a couple of points you want to hit before the interview starts you might retain the unique and spontaneous factor i believe you are going for while still maintaining good interviewer ethics.

Anthony, you are a great inspiration and the man! You have really helped increase the visibility of the sport with your NCAA win. I would love to see you give the Freestyle game a go but good luck to you in your future endeavors.

On another note... Interviewer, you really asked him if his pants have to be tailored differently than other people and do they give you the full leg of the pant??? You can see in his face that you made him feel uncomfortable. Bonehead questions. You can tell how you stuttered through it that you knew right after you started to say it that it was going to offend him.

Anthony Robles is a true inspiration, a great role model and an all around nice guy. He's given wrestling a great shot in the arm.

Sugar Bowl should Donate Some of that none TAXED Money to other Non Revenue Sports like Wrestling. Whatch the HBO Speacial about the BOWL Games and how much they make and what they do with that money. Save wrestling! Robles is so inspiring Keep it up.
