ohio, california, illinio, jersey ect. are all great wrestling states with deep traditon and roots in the sport ! unfornately though, to compare them to pa all of them combined they still wouldn't win haha ! pa kids might not have that great of conditioning or strenght but we have great handfighting, footwork, and technique.......we know that at the collage level conditioning and strengh are easy to catch up on but technique takes years of hardwork and practice to master......so, heil may have out conditioned and mucsled guilibon but if you take the collage version of both these kids guilobon would tech him, again thats why pa always does the best at ncaa's

Bluechip that's pretty creepy making coments on a young kids look.you sound like Sandusky.Maybe you can find the right website to satisfy your needs,this is a wrestling website.get a clue sicko! Ohio isn't bad, their good but look at nico megaludis 8th in the country at 125 as a true freshman at Penn State. Name an Ohio kid doing better in college.

Act like you've been there before yourself and give the Ohio boys some credit, they deserve it. You can what if all you want, bottom line is that Ohio boy can wrestle and that is why he stuck one of PA's best. Who cares about 9 out of 10? He just won the match that counted, not the other 9 hypothetical matches.

No doubt PA has way tougher wrestlers than Ohio. This kid is a great wrestler but Gulibon outwrestled him in every phase of that match. Is way too y after a very flukey win like that. A kid whose been there before would have given gulibon some credit and acted humble and wouldn't trash talk PA. Hope you run in to Gulibon again and let me know how you do. If we took the PA state champs v. Ohio state champs. Pretty sure PA would only give up 3 or 4 matches at the most.

Gulibon would dominate that match 9 out of 10 times. He got caught and would have won that match. Put Heil in Pennsylvania and he has 0 state championships.

All you PA guys and your homer Dapper Dan Classic...it was one helluva showing for the talent that runs deep in PA last year....but for god sakes your gonna have to let it go sooner or later...you keep looking behind you and you wont see what your about to hit...or whats about to hit you! Root of wrestling is mistakes. If you're not making mistakes, then you're not learning and if you're not learning, then you're not improving. Heil is young, 16, and only other big event prior to this was Flo Nationals(?). He'll learn from this mistake and improve. But, rivalries, such as PA v.OH (if it truly exists), great rematches and so on do not happen without these kind of funnies!

i dont take his comments seriously. he jsut got done with his match. and wasnt thinking straight. i will say their will be a lot of PA kids gunning for him now. Just to let it be know jimmy would never criticize an opponet like that even if it was 30 seconds after a match.

from what i understand, dean heil was dealing with some issues and not wrestling well before tourney. he was probably not surprised, but needed some victories like these. you can tell he did not wrestle well, poor on his feet, normally oustanding on top, but not here. obviously, he made good choices, defense or something to still get it done. credit to him, but was besides himself right after the match.

This is a young kid after a big win, saying stupid things. For one, Pa has the most AA every year at the NCAA's Fact. Two Pa has beat the USA in the Dapper Dan the past two maybe three years. They didn't beat a state, they beat the entire Country. Third Pa kids will out condition Ohio any day. Four, Heil won fair and square. It might have been a quick pin fall but whatever. Heil will never beat JG ever again. He scored wrestling defensive, he didn't come close to scoring on his on shots. Come to think of it, I don't think he shot one time. Good win Heil, but you wont beat him again. Pa is the best wrestling state in the Country. Its proven time and time again at NCAA's. Good luck rest of the country.

Funny interview Jimmy Gulibon out of shape That is Heil Showing his stupidity. Jimmy would beat him 9 out of 10 matches. I will give him credit where credit is due he wrestled a good tournament and deserved to win but show some humility because this victory was an outlier and Gulibon is a better wrestler!

zeb you are ridiculous why do you go up to kid doesnt even have his breath back from a match still sweating so excited and you go and ask him questions about pa and ohio...is this the biggest match you ever won? this interview makes him look so bad and his emotions are threw the roof and now hes gonna regret it. let him put a shirt on and maintain a str8 head.

How was Jimmy G. screwed over? Even if the ref. doesn't call the pin Heil is up 8-4 and give an escape he is still up 8-5. Very tough to score points on Heil. If they wrestled 10x they may go 5-5 or Heil might lose 9 either way he won this one! I'm sure Jimmy will gain from this and go on to greatness! He is one of my favorite wrestlers to watch. Heil had the strongest half bracket. Back to the refs, I think they were weak, but weak to all the wrestlers! Take it out of their hands.
