Here are some sweet clips from 2008 Russian Nationals. Check out the extras at the end of the reel. Flowrestling is a leader in wrestling and went to the 2008 Russian Nationals as the only representative of the United States. Flowrestling will continue to cover the Russian nationals in full.

Wow! Russians are lightening fast. Even their defense becomes offense immediately, so you've got to think ahead with these guys. Perhaps the biggest difference between Americans and Russians is balance: Russians have such incredibly good balance and mat awareness. Americans tend to think in terms of strict aggression and dominance, whereas Russians are thinking in terms of technique and strategy, and their balance enables them to completely destroy American wrestlers. |

4:38 ha old man in the back. Russians truly are better at wrestling than the US and the only reason is...they have been doing way longer than us. The difference from our college level and our Olympic level is the same difference from our Olympic level and the Russian Olympic level. We are right there but still not up to par with the Russians. Their community also appreciates wrestling more than ours and they have more higher level wrestlers than the US thus more/better competition. All in all best freestyle video I have ever watched, God I love wrestlin |

Awesome! This is why I love freestyle so much more than folkstyle. Don't get me wrong I still love wrestling folkstyle, but this is just crispy-filthy. |

how was that a pin at 4:05? The red wrestler was in a neck bridge and both his shoulders were completely off the matHe called the fall before he bridged up. I had to watch it a couple times to catch it but he was definitly pinned. |
